Sibford School Scholarships are available as follows:
Scholarship assessments for entry in the September are held in the preceding January and February although, in certain circumstances, scholarship applications may be considered at other times throughout the academic year.
The Scholarship Assessment Day for those entering Year 7, 9, 10 and 12 in September 2020 will take place on Saturday 25th January 2020.
The deadline for applications is Friday 17 January 2020.
There are three categories of scholarship:
Sibford School is offering the opportunity for prospective students to apply for scholarships on the basis of evidence of exceptional recent achievement, exceptional performance in the scholarship assessment and an interview/trial/audition.
Sibford School students currently in Year 6 or Year 11 can also apply as they are in transition to the Senior School and Sixth Form respectively. In exceptional circumstances Sibford School will consider offering a scholarship to a student who is already at the School and who has shown exceptional progress and commitment to a subject.
Scholarships are always an honorary award. However, for exceptional pupils, at the Head’s discretion, the award may represent a financial reduction equivalent to the value of up to 10% of day fees. Support may also be offered for music lessons, LAMDA awards or similar. All awards will be reviewed on an annual basis. Receiving a scholarship does not preclude applications for a means tested bursary.
Sibford School offers a limited number of bursaries which are made available to both Quaker and Non-Quaker families.
Bursaries may be awarded in the form of a discount on day fees (but not on any extra charges).
Bursaries are not dependent on particular academic or creative achievement. They are, however, subject to annual testing of parental means and may be varied upwards or downwards depending on parental circumstances.
Bursaries will be reviewed annually and are subject to the financial parameters being met.
