Scholarship assessments for entry in September are held in the preceding January/February although, in certain circumstances, scholarship applications may be considered at other times throughout the academic year.
Sibford awards general academic scholarships as well as subject specific scholarships for Art, Music and Sport. Scholarships consist of a maximum 10% discount on fees which may be supplemented by a means tested bursary.
Scholarships are made for the following Year Groups:
Senior School ~ for entry to Year 7 (available to both pupils from Sibford Junior School and to those joining from other schools)
Senior School ~ for entry to Year 9 (available to pupils transferring from another school)
Sixth Form ~ for entry to Year 12 (available to both pupils from Sibford Senior School and to those joining from other schools)
Senior School scholarships are offered until the end of year 11 and Sixth Form scholarships until the end of Year 13, however the means tested element of the scholarship will be reviewed annually and is subject to the financial parameters being met.
Sibford School offers a limited number of bursaries which are made available to both Quaker and Non-Quaker families.
Bursaries may be awarded in the form of a discount on day fees (but not on any extra charges).
Bursaries are not dependent on particular academic or creative achievement. They are, however, subject to annual testing of parental means and may be varied upwards or downwards depending on parental circumstances.
