Friday 8 July saw pupils and staff at Sibford School bidding farewell to Head, Michael Goodwin, who is retiring after 12 years at the school.
Commenting on his departure, Michael said: “I’ve been Head of Sibford School since 2004 and this has been the longest position I have held during my 36-year teaching career. It’s been a great job and I’ve really enjoyed it, but I know that now is the time to start a new chapter in my life.”
New Head at Sibford School will be Toby Spence. Toby, together with his wife Jill and their three children, will be moving to Oxfordshire in August in preparation for the start of the new term in September.
“Sibford is a unique place to live and learn and I am greatly looking forward to taking over as Head,” said Toby.
