Pupils and staff at Sibford School near Banbury ended the Autumn term on Friday in style … by donning outrageous seasonal sweaters! But it was all in a good cause as the festive fashion was in support of the first Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day.
A minimum £1 donation was made by everyone who signed up to the pledge ‘Make the World Better with a Sweater’.
School charities co-ordinator Alan Wallis, said: “We often hold a charity casuals day at the end of term, but when we discovered that Save the Children had designated 14 December 2012 as Christmas Jumper Day it was an obvious choice.
“All money raised will go to help save the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable children in the poorest countries”
