Making a splash for charity

sibford_school_swimathonSibford School has joined the world’s biggest ever charity swimming competition.

Between 4pm and 7pm on the weekend of 27/28 April, the school swimming pool will be open for people to compete in Swimathon 2013 and raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Angie Wiffin, manager at Sibford Pool said: “Following the success of Team GB swimmers in the 2012 Olympics, this year’s Swimathon is set to a fabulous event.

“We’ve already had a lot of people signing up to take part here at Sibford Pool and it’s not too late for others to get involved.”

Adds Swimathon President and Olympic gold medallist, Duncan Goodhew: “Swimathon is a great way to step up your swimming skills regardless of how long you have swum or how well you swim. By taking to the pool you can raise money for charity and shake off those winter blues while you complete your challenge!”
