Philippines Appeal

William Bee is pictured surrounded by just some of the bags and boxes filled with clothing and blankets that will soon be making their way to the Philippines.

When Sibford School heard that the Banbury branch of international freight company DHL was arranging to transport much needed items to the Philippines, the school was keen to help out and act as a collection point.

Pupils, parents and staff were notified and within hours a mountain of bags, containing clothing and warm blankets, was building up in the school’s reception office.

Sibford School will continue to accept donations until lunchtime on Tuesday (19 November) when it will deliver them to DHL.

Meanwhile, pupils will be holding a charity casuals day tomorrow with all proceeds going to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Philippines Typhoon Appeal.
