How we protect Britain’s endangered wildlife will be the topic under discussion at Sibford School’s next Café Scientifique which takes place on Thursday 3 March.
Guest speaker will be Peter Newbold, a Senior Ecologist with the Oxford office of environmental consultants, BSG Ecology.
Peter graduated from the University of Southampton with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. He holds Natural England survey licences for the great crested newt, dormouse, smooth snake and sand lizard and has worked on variety of projects including housing developments, solar farms and quarry proposals. He is currently managing the licenced translocation of great crested newts for a major rail improvement scheme.
Café Scientifique takes place at Sibford School once a term. The Café, which welcomes members of the general public as well as pupils from the school, opens at 6.15pm.
