Pupils box clever for charity

shoebox-appealPupils at Sibford School are boxing clever in a bid to transform Christmas for people who would otherwise have nothing.

The school is supporting the Trussell Trust Christmas Shoebox appeal which sends gifts to some of the poorest people in Bulgaria.

And between now and the middle of November pupils will be filling shoeboxes with donated items such as toiletries, gloves, scarfs, hats, pens, pencils, notepads, colouring books, teddies, jigsaws, balls and dolls.

Pictured launching the Shoebox Appeal at Sibford are school charity coordinators Phoebe Edmonds (Year 9), Nathan Shemmell (Year 11), Meghan Robinson (Year 8) and Ashley Edwards (Year 10).

  • In 2014, the Trussell Trust delivered 8,545 shoeboxes to poor and marginalised children and families all over Bulgaria.
