Top marks for Countryside Management

Sibford School Sixth Former, Tom, was celebrating this week after being awarded a Distinction* in his BTEC Countryside Management Diploma. The qualification is the equivalent to an  A* at A Level.

Tom, who is dyslexic, joined Sibford School Sixth Form two years ago having previously been a pupil at the Warriner School.

He will now go on to study at Harper Adams University near Newport, in Shropshire.

Tom said: “I was really surprised to receive a Distinction*. I thoroughly enjoyed the course but it was hard work, so to get this result was brilliant. I am now looking forward to going to university.”

Sibford School Countryside Management teacher, Hannah Coppin, added: “Tom chose to come to Sibford for Sixth Form because we offer BTEC qualifications. I am delighted that he is now going on to study Countryside and Environmental Management at Harper Adams in September and wish him all the best for the future.”
