Sibford School offers swimming lessons for children aged 3+. Lessons follow the ASA framework and are split into the ability groups detailed below.

We follow Swim England Learn To Swim scheme. The Stage 1-7 Awards are divided into progressive stages. They make up the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children.

Once the swimmer has developed the core range of skills required to be confident, competent and safe in water, he/she can progress onto the ASA Aquatic Skills Framework stages 8, 9 & 10.
Our Rookie Lifeguard course re-starts on 16th September 2021

RLSS UK’s Rookie Lifeguard programme gives your child the skills they need to be confident in the pool or the sea – which means peace of mind for you. With colourful materials and fun, varied activities, the Rookie Lifeguard scheme teaches children how to swim and enjoy water safely, whether in shallow or deeper water. If you would like to enrol, we ask your child to be a Stage 5 or above and able to swim a minimum of 100 metres using a range of strokes.

The Rookie Lifeguard programme features both swimming and lifesaving skills and is open to children aged between 8 and 12 years. Your child will learn self-survival, CPR, First Aid and much more. On successful completion of the programme each Rookie Lifeguard will receive a Royal Lifesaving Society Rookie Lifeguard Certificate.
All costs for the Rookie Lifeguard programme are based on a 12 week term.
