Sibford School Celebrates Exceptional Results

Sibford School is delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our Year 13 students as they receive their Level 3 (A Level and BTEC) results today. This is a moment of great celebration for the Sibford community, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work, resilience, and determination that our pupils have shown throughout their academic journey.

This year, 77% of our students achieved their first-choice destination, a phenomenal outcome that reflects not only the dedication of our pupils but also the steadfast support of our teaching staff and the families who have walked alongside them. To all of them, we offer our heartfelt thanks.

This year has also seen exceptional success among our BTEC students, whose achievements reflect high standards of commitment and excellence. We are proud to announce that 50% of pupils achieved the top grade of Distinction* (equivalent to A*) in their BTEC qualifications, with a further 22.5% securing a Distinction. These outstanding outcomes highlight the continuous dedication of our pupils, the expert guidance of our teaching staff, as well as the real-world relevance and rigour of vocational learning at Sibford.

Our leavers are heading off to a wonderfully broad range of university courses, demonstrating the diverse talents and interests nurtured at Sibford. From Mechanical Engineering to Horology, Korean Studies, Illustration, and Education and Psychology, our students continue to impress with their ambition and individuality.

They’ll be spreading their wings across the UK to pursue further studies at prestigious institutions, including the University of Southampton, University of Exeter, University of Sussex, and the University of Sheffield.

We are equally thrilled to celebrate success beyond university destinations. A small number of our students have chosen to take up Higher Level Apprenticeships, and we are particularly proud of those beginning exciting new chapters in industries such as engineering, with a standout achievement being an apprenticeship secured at Sellafield.

We are thrilled to share that Sam, one of our Fine Art students, has been recognised by OCR as one of the top-performing Fine Art candidates in the country, a truly remarkable accolade that speaks to the strength of the Creative Arts at Sibford and Sam's extraordinary talent.

As we send off our Year 13 Class of 2025, we do so with immense pride and warmest wishes. We know that they will carry the values, experience, and courage they developed here at Sibford into everything they do. Whatever paths they take, whether in lecture halls, creative studios, apprenticeships, or beyond, we hope they continue to let their lives speak and make a difference in the world around them.
